Highlights from the first DALEMANS parking workshop

On September 23, 2025, DALEMANS hosted a seminar on gas detection in parking facilities.

This morning of discussions on parking safety was especially valuable thanks to the diverse backgrounds of the participants: engineering firms, installers, maintenance companies, and firefighters,” noted Gérald Olivier - Director Service & Solutions, Dalemans.

Several speakers shared their knowledge and hands-on experience during the session:

🔹 Pierre-Edouard Verhaeghe, from Brussels Environment, outlined the purpose and content of the “Parking” Decree, including air quality standards (CO and NO2) and ventilation requirements, before presenting the “Charging Stations” Decree related to electric vehicle charging.
🔹 Cédric Watelet and Guy Rimez introduced DALEMANS’ new S•Line gas detection system and presented a practical case study on CO and NO2 detection in parking facilities.
🔹 Nicolas Freuville, from the SIAMU (Brussels Fire and Emergency Medical Service), shared his expertise on the fire risks linked to electric vehicles and the prevention measures currently enshrined in law.

A big thank you to all speakers and participants for such a constructive morning!”
