Biodiversity in the spotlight at DALEMANS!
All the exterior features and green areas of the new DALEMANS building have been laid out by XWood, a company that has the “Natagora nature network” label.
400 metres of living hedges, some of them in double rows, were planted around the perimeter of the building. A large number of Natagora-labelled tree species were included to attract birds from the region. At the end of April, between 5 and 6,000 plants of different sizes and colours were harmoniously mixed to create a pretty explosion of colour. Finally, at the back and front of the building, 15 areas of certified Walloon flower meadows have been planted. A lot of thought went into the planting and they contain, among things, melliferous species which will be much appreciated by pollinating insects! Many thanks to our colleagues Valérie Van der Eecken and Michael Van Laer for making this project possible.
