DALEMANS carries out its first carbon footprint assessment
For many years, DALEMANS has been committed to protecting the environment.
We have already implemented several initiatives: photovoltaic panels, electric vehicles, promoting cycling... But we still lacked an objective tool to help us prioritize our environmental actions,” explains Gabriel Dalemans - Quality & HSE Coordinator.
💡 Thanks to its carbon footprint assessment, carried out in collaboration with Prof. Joseph Smitz (HEC Liège), DALEMANS was able to quantify its impacts across key domains - energy, mobility, waste, packaging, and production inputs - and identify where to act first. “This is not about judging our results as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, but about gaining a clear picture of our impact.”
🌍 With these insights, DALEMANS can now focus its efforts where they will have the greatest effect: mobility, process optimization, and material selection.
“This first report provides us with a long-term vision. In our next assessment, we will be able to measure progress concretely and adjust our actions accordingly. We are now moving forward with a clear focus and weel-defined priorities.”
