The OCTOPLUS gas alarm control unit for the detection of toxic or explosive gases enables the monitoring of gas concentrations such as carbon monoxide CO, nitrogen dioxide NO₂, CNG, LPG, chlorine Cl₂, oxygen O₂, carbon dioxide CO₂, ozone O₃, sulfur dioxide SO₂, ammonia NH₃, hydrogen fluoride (HF), methane (CH₄), propane C₃H₈, butane C₄H₁₀ (non-exhaustive list).
The OCTOPLUS control unit is designed to trigger actions within light industrial or commercial buildings, such as underground car parks, chemical laboratories, school laboratories, and more.
The OCTOPLUS unit actively regulates ventilation. It features up to 8 gas detection inputs and up to 4 independently configurable alarm thresholds per input.
It is equipped with 4 programmable gas presence alarm relays, as well as 1 fault relay.
Combined with D•420, D•420 IR, D•TEX 420 or freon gas detectors, OCTOPLUS manages various accessories and control systems.
When preset alarm thresholds are reached, OCTOPLUS can activate one or more connected safety systems such as:
ventilation control (air blowers or extractors),
activation of a siren,
activation of warning lights,
activation of strobe lights,
sending a signal to a BMS (Building Management System), etc.
The unit is housed in an IP55-rated enclosure (dust- and water-resistant) and is intended for permanent wall-mounted installation.
The OCTOPLUS control unit comes with a 3-year warranty for any new installation.
